To offer an environment that encourages children to learn through exploration. The program we follow is geared toward helping children develop habits of observation, questioning and listening.
At our center you will see:
. . . No lines to stand in, only activities to like
. . . No patterns to follow, only items with which to create.
. . . No complex, abstract meanings the child cannot comprehend, only ideas and things to talk about, relate to, compare with, match, fit into, try out, invent, discover, enjoy.
Yet at the same time theis alwayssalways alwaya challenged by specific learning goals we have set for them:
. . . In order to read and perform other academic assignments the kid must first gather meaning from the world and develop an awareness of concepts.
. . . In order to collect meaning from the world the child must have many satisfying sensory and sensory motor experiences—the kid must touch, feel, smell, hear, see. Perceptual development follows. This is how a child interprets their sensory experiences, which is a prerequisite for developing their mind.
We are trying to offer a quality Early Childhood Education Program filled with carefully chosen team members, filled with love and compassion for children. We trust that children are our most important resource and that their early childhood experiences are crucial in the development of their future. Each team member strives to provide an environment that stimulates the child’s senses and where warmth friendship are abundant to meet the needs of the total development of your child. Our staff members are partners with our parents working together to meet both the needs of the children and their families.

Our infant program teachers have specialized training to ensure that they are not only providing excellent child care but are also beginning the learning process that will allow each baby to begin to observe his/her surroundings, to retain information he/she gains from his/her experiences, and to form attachments with others.
The teachers plan activities for each individual child based on the continuous assessment process that is in place. They also work in partnership with each baby’s family to set goals for him/her and to continuously evaluate progress toward these goals.
The toddler age group is a diverse one, and each child is different. We recognize and encourage these differences, and our toddler teaching team’s practice a variety of strategies.
These strategies allow for each child to begin defining his/her own sense of independence while dependent on the adults caring for and teaching him/her. Each toddler is assigned an individual teaching team member as his/her primary caregiver.
Our toddler classrooms follow a daily routine that is consistent yet flexible. The children quickly learn to anticipate what will come next in their day and begin to demonstrate initiative.
A typical day includes Greeting Time, Choice Time, Group Time, and Outside Time. The teaching teams plan their lessons daily to ensure that they are supporting the children’s current interests and developmental progress.
Preschool is the beginning of a very exciting time in the life of a young child. Our days are filled with a variety of learning opportunities that become the building blocks for each child’s preparation for kindergarten.
At ABC Academy, we focus on cognitive development skills and personal development skills, as well as developing social skills and developing a desire for learning in each child.
While it feels like “we play all day”, we are very strategic in our planning to ensure that our expectations are appropriate for the current group of children we are working with. Through play the children learn problem solving skills, develop initiative, and practice math, science, reading, and writing during every part of the day.
My daughter is in the Preschool class at Concord elementary school. She absoultey adores Mrs.Cindy and Mrs.Brandy, and all her friends! They have done an amazing job at sending me pictures, keeping me updated on what she ate, what she did, what she learned and how long she napped. I'm so thankful, we made the decision to put her in this class through ABC academy. Thank you.
Our 2 year old has been attending ABC now for almost two years. We have had a wonderful experience so far. He has learned SO much, such as numbers, the alphabet, singing along to songs and much more. The time he spends at ABC is valuable in just that he gets to spend time with other children his age and to have that interaction. And that the teachers he spends time with participate with the children daily and keep them busy. The next step for us is potty training, which HE INSISTED ON thanks to being at ABC and watching the other kids and teachers work on this. The program is great and working with the staff is super easy with their Tadpoles app that lets us know how much he ate, how long he napped and what his potty schedule was throughout each day. We also enjoying receiving pictures of him playing and having fun. As a working mom I have been able to adjust well with not being with my child throughout the day and have experienced much less 'mom guilt' knowing that i can drop him off at ABC where he will be playing with his friends AND learning so much while I am off at work and knowing that he is safe and in good hands.
My son has been attending ABC Academy since he was 2 years old. He is now 5 and the amount of growth he has made due to the love, encouragement, and support of the staff is phenomenal! I couldn't have asked for better people or school to take care of my "baby" while I was working! Thank you ABC for all you do that the community can see and for everything you do that may go unseen! You rock!
My daughter love this school! She has blossomed into a great person because of the sharing and social skills she has learned. She is better at home with her brother, plus she is reading and spelling all kinds of words now. Thank you so much for everything you do for our family. This is a great school!
ABC Academy's infant room teachers made my transition back to work easier.Having to take my baby to child care so that I could return to work, full time, was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. While I know it will never be easy to spend those hours away from him every day, it is comforting that he spends those hours with responsible, educated, fun and loving people. He is changing, growing and learning all of the time and I am happy that ABC Academy is a part of it with us.
When my 1 year old runs down the hall to his teacher, I know he's in good hands! Both my boys go here and can't wait to go to "school" every morning! I can't thank the staff enough for all they have done for my babies. I know my children will be ready for preschool because of the lessons they learn at ABC. Thank you for loving my boys :)
