From Our Website

Children of Tomorrow Learning Centers provide exceptional programs, caring staff, and enriching experiences for children six weeks to nine years old. Our education-based curriculum is focused on preparing your child socially, emotionally, and academically for life-long success. Passionate, knowledgeable, skillful teachers are the core strength of our learning centers. We expect our team to provide an enthusiastic, caring and rewarding learning experience for children. Excellent teaching begins with strong relationships between teachers, families and children.

Aleta Mechtel, owner and president of Children of Tomorrow, has a life-long passion for education. Aleta knew she wanted to work with children from her first babysitting job. Since Children of Tomorrow opened in Chanhassen in 2000, Aleta has guided parents in finding the right care for their children. Children of Tomorrow offers a wide range of programs for children that create a strong foundation, and a safe and educational experience before entering elementary school. Aleta believes in having a superior staff, focusing on exceptional academics, one-on-one interaction, and meeting each individual need of every child.

Provide a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment for the children and families. Provide a superior staff focusing on exceptional academics and interaction with children enabling a positive learning experience while attending Children of Tomorrow Learning Center (COT). We will raise the self-esteem of every student, and empower them to reach their full potential. Each day, in all interactions with the students, we will treat them with respect, compassion and understanding. We have high expectations for all of our students in academics, behavior, and peer interactions.

Members of the summer camp planning team spend months organizing every activity, field trip, game, and community service project in an effort to build memories that will last forever in the minds of our students. Enrollment for our Summer Day Camp is based on availability of space. Typically, our summer day camp runs the second week in June through the last week in August.

Research demonstrates that high quality Pre-Kindergarten increases a child's chances of succeeding in school and life. At Children of Tomorrow we provide a high-quality curriculum which is play based. We are teaching children pre-academic foundations for a successful elementary transition. We make learning fun so the children will strengthen their social skills, be able to interact with their peers and build their confidence as they take their next step. Our school-age program offers the best before and after school care.
