From Our Website
The Children's Center of the Upper Valley opened its doors in 1971 with the dream to make a difference in each child's life! We are the longest serving non-profit child care organization in the Upper Valley region. For over 40 years we have been dedicated to providing affordable quality child care and nurturing care and a balanced approach to learning for our children. Our standards are set very high for our educators which becomes evident as each parent walks through our doors. We want each child and parent to feel safe, secure, and like they are a part of our extended family.
By enrolling your child at CCUV, you become a member of our child care community. A Board of Directors governs the Children's Center of the Upper Valley. Our board is made up of volunteers from the community. Elections to the board occur at our annual meeting, which is held in October of each year. Throughout the year, the Board organizes activities and invites all parents to participate.
The Children's Center is a year round program open to children 6 weeks up to entering Kindergarten. We currently have an infant room, three infant/toddler rooms, and two preschool classrooms. Your child's age, developmental stage, and the composition of the classroom, are all taken into consideration when determining placement. The Children Center's programs are designed to reflect the individual needs and interests of children and focus on social, emotional, cognitive, language and motor growth and development.
Children may enroll at the Children Center at any time during the year, providing that space is available, for full time or part-time care. CCUV is pleased to offer income sensitive tuition based on parents' gross income. The last step in the enrollment process is to complete intake meetings with your child's teacher and CCUV's executive director. The classroom teacher will answer any questions, go over the routines of that room and provide you with a list of items to bring. The executive director will review CCUV's policies and your contract with you.
