From Our Website

Children's Day Montessori is an independent, non-profit preschool and kindergarten combining the traditional values of the Montessori educational approach with the flexible programming and after-care options that the dynamic lives of contemporary families demand. The mission of CDM is to provide an enriching and challenging setting where children aged 3 to 6 can begin to develop to their full potential academically, emotionally and socially in a safe, supportive and diverse learning environment.

Children's Day Montessori (CDM) is an independent, non-profit Montessori preschool that provides a unique educational and social environment for children ages 3 - 6. CDM began in 1982, when the school emerged in the Saint Cloud community known as Learning Day Montessori. In 1990, in response to great interest and growth, the school became Children's Day Montessori, a non-profit organization directed by a volunteer Board of parents and staff. Children's Day Montessori exists to create a safe, nurturing environment where children (ages 3-6) develop and flourish as learners respectful of themselves and others, and the global communities in which we live.

Enrollment is open at any time during the year as long as spaces are available. We encourage all families interested in enrollment at Children's Day Montessori to talk with the staff and observe the communities in session. One-way mirrors allow for unobtrusive observation of all three of our classroom communities. We offer year-round programming that includes a flexible and fun summer program for currently-enrolled students or those who will continue on the following school year. There is a one time $100 registration fee.

Children's Day Montessori's Summer Program offers children the opportunity to develop self-confidence, learn new skills, gain independence, make new friends and enjoy summer activities both inside the classroom and outdoors. Our summer program combines Montessori learning centered on traditional Montessori materials and methods — presented by certified teachers — with summer activities customary to day camp programs. The morning Montessori class time provides a year-round extension of Montessori learning to our already-enrolled students; as well as introduces Montessori materials to newly-enrolled students who will be joining us in the fall.
