From Our Website
The Fuller Center provides a well-rounded support system with comprehensive, family-centered care. Our main focus is to EMBRACE, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER our families while striving to break generational cycles of poverty by combining quality early education, after-school and summer camp programs, and family support services. We provide preventative health and developmental screenings as well as educational courses and resources for parents, from economic assistance and housing to job training. Our Family Support Team provides wrap-around case management services to ensure our children go home each day to strong, self-sufficient families.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children from economically challenged families with the goal of preparing children for a lifetime commitment to learning and empowering their families to build a brighter future, through education, employment assistance, and a powerful support system of teachers and staff that truly care. We believe every child should have the chance to learn, grow, and experience success in school and life regardless of their ability to pay.
Our staff provides support and advice for parents in conjunction with our onsite social workers so they are able to enter the world of parenting armed with knowledge, understanding, and patience which is guided by a strong support system to help them succeed in raising happy and successful children. We know that parenting is hard work and we work to ensure family success by providing resources that help mitigate some of the daily struggles of life for families. We encourage parents to take care of themselves as well as their children through nutrition, financial planning, parenting classes, ESOL and one-on-one or group counseling offered onsite.

Since 1971, the Fuller Center has provided children a pathway out of poverty, inspiring them to make local and global differences through the use of their education. It all started with two women's passion for education and their vision to give children living in poverty the same educational opportunities as their more affluent peers. In 1971, Dorothy Fleegler and Frances Cohen sought out assistance from James and Florence Fuller, and so began the legacy of what was first known as Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, now titled the Fuller Center.
The Florence Fuller Child Development Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 2002 to administer charitable gifts for the benefit of the children and the community served by the Fuller Center. Philanthropic gifts ensure we provide the continued excellence to the services our community expects and deserves. Your support of the Foundation ensures the long term success of the Centers. The Fuller Center relies heavily on private support from our community. Along with many extremely generous donors, we believe that the best return on investment is ensuring that our most needy young children have the opportunities they need for a lifetime of success.
Our preschool program is designed for children aged 1 to 5 years old from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Throughout the preschool we utilize The Creative Curriculum, a research-based and research-proven curriculum that allows our teachers to be their most effective, while still honoring their creativity and respecting their critical role in making learning exciting and relevant for every child.
