From Our Website

Harvard Yard Child Care Center was founded in 1971 as a non-profit, cooperative child care center and preschool, serving children from three months through five years of age, in Cambridge, MA. The center is closed for a week in December as well as the a week towards the middle to end of August. Official holidays also result in center closings. Yoga is provided for toddler and preschool aged children once a week through Flower Yoga with Tara Rachel Jones. Music class is provided for each classroom once a week through Lenka Zbruz from Music Together of Belmont.

Our ratios of teachers to children meet or exceed the guidelines set by the Department of Early Education and Care, DEEC, the state regulatory agency for childcare centers in Massachusetts. Twice a year, parents meet with their child's teachers for a formal conference during which teachers share their observations and assessment of the child's growth and parents share about their experience with their child at home. Special conferences can be arranged as needed throughout the year.

Returning families and siblings are given first priority with preference given to Harvard affiliates next.
