We're a learning community where kids from infants to school age come together with experienced and responsive teachers to learn about themselves, each other, and the world. Small group or personal tours are given as requested. Please call Susan Twombly or Jennie. Part time for 3 and 4 year olds. The Infant Group likes the repetition and rhyming in this classic story.

From Our Website
At ITC, we honor childhood. We offer a positive learning environment that focuses on the whole child through an emergent curriculum based on the dynamic interests of the children and their families. ITC celebrates the unique contribution of each child to our group. We take a constructivist approach, based on the belief that children acquire knowledge through their experiences, and that learning is most effective when a child is actively engaged in the process. Children are encouraged to express their own interests and abilities through play, language, and artistic exploration.
The Infant Toddler Children's Center (ITC) is a non-profit early education and care program located in Acton, MA. We provide a safe, rich, child-centered learning environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. Our teachers are partners, who listen to and observe children closely, ask questions, identify children's ideas, and provide occasions for discovery and learning. Every ITC teacher is an experienced educator with training in Early Childhood Education and/or Childhood Development.
Enrollment is on a yearly basis, beginning in September. Our application process opens in the early part of each year. Offers for enrollment for the following September are made starting the previous February. Although the vast majority of openings occur in September, applications are accepted continuously. If we do not have an opening, we will place your child's name on a waiting list in case an opening becomes available at some time during the year. The first step in enrolling is to schedule a tour to view our programs in action and to meet the Director or Assistant Director.
ITC children have enjoyed hearing a piano player and talking about learning to play an instrument, we have watched a potter work with clay on a portable wheel and have enjoyed trying Oragami and watching as a volunteer folded cranes for a beautiful mobile which hangs in our lobby. We are looking for artists, musicians, and people who work with their hands to demonstrate their skills for children. We have some short term jobs for you such as trimming brush, building and repairing toys and equipment, creating gardens or cleaning.
