From Our Website

Since the opening of our first location in 1985, Lakeview Child Center has steadily grown and expanded, building centers throughout Central New Jersey. Our commitment is to provide a positive learning and growth experience in a caring atmosphere. Our educational program is designed to help children grow intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. Lakeview Child Center is an affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton and RWJBarnabas Health, a non-profit corporation that includes a family of related companies providing a wide range of healthcare and support services to the community.

RWJBarnabas Health provides free language services, including qualified interpreters, to people whose primary language is not English. The following Language Assistance Services information is provided in multiple languages.

In today's world, it is essential for children to help children embrace and respect diversity. We are proud to have children from many diverse cultures as part of the Lakeview family - including those who speak multiple languages and observe a variety of celebrations. Our staff, menu and activities reflect those cultural differences. We emphasize an understanding that everyone's holidays and traditions are personally meaningful. Cooperation between families and teachers help us to thoughtfully execute family celebrations within the context of daily life at Lakeview.

Beyond our daily care, Lakeview provides a number of enrichment programs to help parents add to their child's experience without impacting the weekend schedule. This includes a variety of optional programs paid for by parents of participating children.

Toddlers are no longer babies but they are still in the early childhood years. Learning to explore the sights, sounds and textures of their world, toddlers are developing in leaps and bounds. For toddlers, we emphasize independence. At this age, children begin to build friendships and rely more on communication as their language skills develop. Through developmentally appropriate activities, our program encourages growth and exploration. Our safe, secure environment and effective teachers help our toddlers to cultivate a love of learning now and into the future.

Beyond academic learning, in a day care environment, your child develops a lens through which to see the world. By fostering a commitment to community and an appreciation for diversity, Lakeview Child Center lays a foundation for your child's contributions to his or her community. We believe children should be valued for who they are, and encouraged to develop a positive self-image. At Lakeview Child Center, your child will learn to acknowledge and respect the differences that make each child unique.
