Huge enough to support diverse ministries and activities, but tiny enough to supply a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, we're an active, people-centered church. The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour offers three worship opportunites each week on Sundays throughout most of the year. Nursery care is offered by qualified paid team for preschool kids during the 10:15 and 11:15 services.

From Our Website
We, the members of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, as baptized followers of Jesus Christ, will share the Gospel through Word and Sacrament, teaching the love of God and reaching into our local and worldwide communities. Founded in 1941, The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, in the town of Gates, first held Sunday School at the Gates-Chili Firehouse and worship services at Washington Irving School (both on Chili Avenue). In July 1944, we broke ground on our first church building at 2415 Chili Avenue.
The congregation of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour at 2415 Chili Ave. had a humble start. In 1941, a small group of less than 20 people began holding Sunday School in the nearby Gates Chili firehouse and worship services at the Washington Irving School. A simple wooden church was erected on the current site, with the first service held in it November 1945. In 1946, the charter members had enough stewardship money to hire, Reverend Lyle W. Halvorson as pastor. He remained with the congregation for nearly 20 years.
Altar Guild members help prepare the Altar for weekly services, including communion preparations. Teams of two share the duties on Sundays for a month. Men and women of all ages who have been confirmed are encouraged to join. Please join this important and meaningful ministry. If you are technologically inclined, won't you please help? Please see the attached Technical Volunteering document for areas that you can volunteer in. We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give!
