From Our Website

Here at Preston Kiddie Kollege, we value a positive atmosphere for children and strive to be the place that every parent can trust with their child by prioritizing your child's learning, safety, and experience above all else. Everything we do is geared towards cultivating the most nurturing and influential experience a child can have so that they are as prepared, confident, and bright as they can be! We have been at PKK for 2 weeks - there is a night and day difference from our last daycare experience.

Here at Preston Kiddie Kollege, we know how important it is for parents to be confident that your child is part of a child care community that is trustworthy, safe, educational and that will lead your child lovingly as they experience their years of early childhood. That's why we strive to uphold and continue to improve our home-away-from-home environment in every classroom. The home-away-from-home environment is fostered by the compassion and extensive training of our preschool teachers, and fortified by our home-cooked meals, clean and sanitary classrooms, uniquely engaging daily curriculum, and the security of our building.

The preschool child is eager to pursue their autonomy, ready to develop large motor skills such as jumping and skipping, and small motor skills such as grasping pencils and scissors. They are excited by their increased ability to communicate with their peers, and are deeply curious with many questions. Our teachers in our preschool program strive to provide opportunities for the preschool child to play cooperative games, explore the answers to their questions and their newfound independence, and continue to expand their language and self-help skills.

We understand that your baby's first year of life is the year filled with more learning and growing than any other year. Our infant room teachers are knowledgeable in child development, and understand that the foundation of trust is built at this age. Our teachers play close attention to each child's needs and meet them in a timely manner, so that the child feels secure and safe in their environment, allowing ample room for learning, growth, and curiosity. With our youngest infants, our teachers focus on the importance of sound, sight, and touch.

Every summer PKK hosts its annual summer camp for children 5-12 years old. Our camp was created to provide parents with care for their children when ISD schools are closed for the summer. Parents are able to pick the weeks they want their child to attend throughout the summer, allowing flexibility to schedule family vacations and other events. Our summer camp features several field trips during the summer to local destinations, in the past our PKK Summer Campers have visited The Perot Museum, Frisco Library, bowling alleys, swimming pools, Legoland Discovery Center, laser tag, Jump Zone, and more!

Our Pre-Kindergarten program focuses on improving cognitive skills, especially memory. To train children's memories, they are constantly asked to recall information from past days, recognize letters/sounds, and many more activities that strengthen the child's mental growth. Our teachers encourage students to start doing daily tasks on their own and taking initiative during classroom activities. Language goals for this age group are defined by clear communication, reciting names or addresses, counting to ten, using past and future tenses correctly, and continuing to recognize printed words and sounding them out.
