At The Little Peoples Workplace our mission is to provide high Quality Early Childhood Education and Care at Affordable Services for children ages 1 year to 5 years old. We are dedicated to partner with families and to give each child individualized care, attention, and educational enrichment in a safe, fun-filled, and nurturing preschool environment. We are committed to build a community of life-long learners with positive self-esteem, confidence, values, morals, ethics, and principles. The Little Peoples Workplace has been growing a community through partnership in "Gorgeous Prince Georges" since 1997, and is conveniently located in Lanham, MD near I-95, 295, Rt. 450 & Rt.
At The Little Peoples Workplace we understand how difficult it can be for families to be separated from loved ones. Every effort is made to make this transition as warm, inviting, and smooth as possible.
We are excited to offer the Maryland State Department of Education Voluntary State Curriculum, (The Creative Curriculum and Frog Street Pre-k.) This "hands-on, minds-on" approach is based on the belief system that children learn by doing. This system encourages children to learn through play and by exploring. Daily group activities are designed to help children build skills in Personal and Social Development, Language and Literacy, Mathematical Thinking, Scientific Thinking, Social Studies, The Arts, Physical Development and Positive Character Building.
Our program has integrated the use of the Maryland Model for School Readiness; and is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. Within the program's daily schedule each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving, and personal interaction skills, through hands on experiences. Children develop positive self-concepts and a level of mastery through a balance of self and teacher directed activities.
