The passion among our teachers and administration at TLC Schools is beyond compare. Each instructor is dedicated to educating young minds through exploratory learning. Teacher to student ratio is low so children receive individualized attention, customized to their needs. Caring, certified, and degreed teachers in every classroom love their jobs and their students. Teacher longevity creates stability and security for parents and children as the majority of the staff have been with our center for many years -- most over a decade and some even longer.
For Pre Kindergarten age children, preschool is an exciting place filled with many opportunities to learn and explore every day. TLC is a place where your child can do just that. Although it is a place full of continued fun and excitement, it doesn't lose the focus of being a school that teaches and promotes your child's education. Our degreed teachers and staff provide the type of warm attention and encouragement that will prepare young children for future success in the classroom. At the age of four, our children are exposed to more advanced curriculum that challenges their increasing ability to learn.
At this precious age, toddlers' little minds are a sponge for learning opportunities. Toddlers are busy little people who love to climb, explore, build, and create. They are developing many new skills in their quest for independence by walking, talking, and discovering who they are and what they can do. It is a time of fascinating discoveries for our toddlers, a time to adjust to their environment as well as learn about themselves and others. Toddlers are learning to master their bodies by walking, running, stooping, climbing, throwing and jumping.
Our After School Programs in Plano offer school-aged children a fun, safe environment to spend their afternoons until parents get off of work. Students in our After School Program receive a healthy snack and work on homework in a quiet environment before engaging in various indoor and outdoor games, computer activities, arts and crafts, and science projects. Our teachers will offer assistance with homework when your child needs and even help kids study for spelling tests. TLC Schools has a fleet of buses that transport children to TLC from their elementary schools and on various field trips during summer, spring and winter breaks.
At TLC we want your infant to thrive in a nurtured, loving environment giving them a solid foundation to learning. Cuddling and holding very young children is a big part of what we do everyday. Our Bright Baby program actively engages and stimulates infants through social interactions: talking, playing, moving, singing, reading, and signing. Our goal is to incorporate love into your infant's learning experience. We know that young children learn best through responsive, warm and caring relationships.
Summertime was meant for fun, and our Plano summer camps combine fun activities, fantastic field trips to the best spots around the Metroplex, and educational experiences that make June, July and August your child's brightest months! Your child will have an incredible summer with TLC. The same commitment to giving your child their best start is just as evident in our summer camps. This program includes arts and crafts; indoor and outdoor games and activities; fascinating and fun field trips to local attractions; and active play and learning all summer long!
Safety is every parent's number one concern. From the safety of the facility itself to the staff who will be caring for your child, you need to know what safety measures a prospective child care facility has taken. Some considerations when it comes to safety include: emergency procedures, background checks on staff, and security cameras in every room that are accessible to parents. Don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you need regarding safety -- it's important that you know exactly how a prospective child care facility will keep your child safe in each and every situation that may arise.
