Creative Montessori Learning Center CMLC is a 501 c 3 non-profit community agency where we celebrate diversity. CMLC welcomes kids age 2-6 from all backgrounds to work, play, and learn together. Founded in 1967, CMLC is the oldest and biggest independent childcare center in East Palo Alto. CMLC is greatly respected in the community for the academic success of its graduates.

In 1971 a Child Care Task Force appointed by the Palo Alto City Council recommended that the City take an active and supportive role in the provision of child care and related services, and that a non-profit corporation be founded to implement and coordinate the Task Force's recommendations.
